What do you want to do?

  • I want to shadow a health professional.

Shadowing provides students with a first-hand opportunity to learn about a career of their choice. The student will experience duties performed and interact with staff but will not participate in hands-on care in clinical areas.

  • I want to do a clinical rotation in a nursing or allied health program.

Student rotations give students the opportunity to study health care professionals as they work in a health care environment while under the supervision of an instructor from an accredited university or college. Rotations are arranged by your university or college and may be from one week to nine weeks in duration.

  • I want to do a clinical rotation in a physician/physician assistant program

Physician student rotations give students the opportunity to study health care professionals as they work in a health care environment while under the supervision of a Preceptor. Rotations or clerkships are arranged by your medical program.

  • I want to earn 60-360 hours of school credit while working with a Floyd professional.

Internships provide students with school credit while working alongside a specially-trained professional with gradually diminishing supervision to help the student gain expertise and confidence in their clinical skills.

  • I am a nursing instructor and I want to send my students to Floyd.

Educational institutions must have a current affiliation agreement with Floyd before their students can receive approval to do their clinical rotation.
